We built the thing we could not buy.
Futurescope Analytics exists because the labor market evidence available to the people who need it was either unusable or unaccountable. An extraordinary amount of high-quality statistical work is produced every year. Very little of it arrives in a form a dean, a city manager or a compensation lead can act on — and the products that do the assembling generally will not tell you how.
What we believe
A figure without provenance is not evidence. Every number in the platform is attributable and dated. When a figure is modeled rather than published — and several of the most useful ones must be — it says so, and shows the method. We would rather lose a deal to a more confident-sounding competitor than serve a number that cannot be defended in the meeting it was made for.
The region is the unit that matters. National growth rates are the most-cited and least-actionable labor market statistic in program planning. A college's graduates look for work in a specific set of counties. Every figure resolves there.
Anyone should be able to check us. We do not hide behind a proprietary index. The analysis you cite in an accreditation submission, a grant application or a board packet points at a source your reviewer already trusts — and the derivation is written down where you can read it.
Limits stated up front beat limits discovered later. Suppression is real, official statistics lag, graduates move, and local openings are modeled everywhere they appear. We say all of that on the data page rather than in a footnote after a purchase.
How we work
The platform is built and maintained by people who have done this analysis by hand, for years, for audiences who questioned every number. That experience is why the product has a methodology page longer than most vendors' feature list, and why every figure is checked against independent published totals.
We are deliberately narrow. We do not sell a general-purpose BI tool, we do not resell postings data, and we do not have a module for everything. We do regional labor market analysis properly — including the program-to-occupation question almost nobody gets right — for the organizations whose decisions turn on it.
Who we serve
Community colleges and universities use it for program review, new program justification, portfolio decisions and accreditation evidence. Workforce boards and economic development organizations use it for regional plans, in-demand occupation lists and sector strategy. Municipalities, counties and other public agencies use it for economic development, grant applications and council briefings. Employers use it for compensation benchmarking and talent supply, and analysts and researchers use it as a reconciled panel that is ready to interrogate.
That breadth matters more than it sounds. When everyone in a regional conversation can trace a figure to the same source, the meeting is about what to do rather than about whose number to believe.
